If you’ve decided to buy chia seeds then you’ve got plenty of options. The easiest way to do this is to go into any sort of health shop and ask. In this article I’m going to talk about various places online where you can buy chia seeds. (note: some links in this article are affiliate links)
People generally buy standard chia seeds, white chia seeds or organic chia seeds. Some people say that white chia seeds are better so they are usually more expensive but the nutritional values of white chia seeds are pretty much the same as normal chia seeds.
If money is no object then organic chia seeds are clearly the best option as they contain less unnecessary chemicals. Organic chia seeds are usually slightly more expensive than regular chia seeds so if you want the cheapest option then regular dark chia seeds are your best option.
Chia seeds can be stored for a long time without going off so I suggest buying them in bulk, but if you’r trying them out for the first time then go for a smaller amount to see if you like them.
US Buyers
Amazon in my first recommendation for people in the USA. You’ve probably bought something from Amazon before which is why it’s my first recommendation. You can get all types of chia seeds from Amazon at great prices. Here are a few examples:
- 5 pounds of regular chia seeds for $25
- 5 pounds of white chia seeds for $44.95
- 5 pounds of organic chia seeds for 34.95 (This is the option I recommend)
Amazon is the easiest option for most, but if for any reason you don’t want to use Amazon, you can also buy your chia seeds from plenty of other sites online. Just do a search and you will get plenty of options.

UK Buyers
Just as with US buyers, most people in the UK will have used Amazon before so I also recommend Amazon for your chia seeds too. Here are some examples of prices:
- 1 KG of regular chia seeds for £20.99
- 454g of white chia seeds for £18.99
- 1.36 KG of organic chia seeds for £29.99
There are quite a few UK sites that sell chia seeds. One example of a different site that sells chia seeds is buywholefoodsonline.co.uk where you can buy 500g of chia seeds for £10.99.
Australia
Chia seeds have been gaining popularity in Australia. The best option that I’ve found for australian sites seems to be Westfield.
